1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Tarot Chats, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Tarot Chats provides personalized tarot readings for entertainment and self-reflection purposes. Our mystical readers generate interpretations based on traditional tarot wisdom and your questions.

Important: Tarot readings are for entertainment purposes only and should not replace professional advice for medical, legal, financial, or mental health matters.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using Tarot Chats, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. We collect and use your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

One free account per person. Each person may hold only one free account. Creating or using more than one free account, particularly to collect free credits or other free offers more than once, is a breach of these terms. If we find accounts that belong to the same person, we may block or delete any or all of the accounts involved. Deleting an account permanently removes all of its readings, chat history and credits, and they cannot be restored.

5. Privacy & Data

We use your account information to authenticate your account, provide the service, and remember your preferences. We do not sell account information or provide it for an advertising partner's independent marketing. We may use hashed email addresses and similar identifiers with advertising partners such as Meta for our own campaign analysis, measurement, and audience matching, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5a. Membership, Credits & Billing

Paid members receive a credit allowance each month, in an amount we set and may update from time to time. Any change to the allowance takes effect from your next billing period; your allowance for the current period will not change. Monthly members receive their allowance every month on their billing cycle. Credits do not roll over from one month to the next and expire at the end of each billing period.

One-time credit packs may be purchased separately. These credits expire one year from the date of purchase.

Instant Access is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It grants a credit allowance along with a fixed period of Member-level access. The length of that period is shown at checkout. It does not renew automatically, and the credits remain available for one year from the date of purchase.

Credits are priced according to your status at the time you spend them. Member pricing applies while your membership is active. Once a membership ends, is paused, or lapses, remaining credits are spent at standard pricing, and Member-only features are unavailable.

Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged or withdrawn.

5b. Auto-Renewal, Cancellation and Pausing

Memberships renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your Wallet by selecting Manage Plan, then Cancel plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep Member access and pricing until that date, and no further payments are taken.

Where offered, you may pause your membership for one month instead of cancelling. During a pause you are not charged and receive no monthly credit allowance. Member access and pricing end when your current paid period ends, and resume when the pause ends. You may resume earlier, in which case payment is taken immediately and a new billing period begins that day. Pausing is available once per membership.

Cancelling and later rejoining creates a new membership at the price then advertised. We do not guarantee that a previous price will be available again.

5c. Refunds

This policy applies to memberships, credit packs and Instant Access purchases. Nothing in it limits rights you have under applicable consumer law, and where such rights apply, they prevail.

Tarot Chats is an AI-powered service. Readers are fictional personas and all responses are generated by artificial intelligence. This is documented throughout the service, including in our FAQ. Dissatisfaction arising from a misunderstanding of this is not grounds for a refund.

Refund requests must be made within 14 days of the transaction, in writing to support@tarotchats.com, stating the transaction concerned and the specific reason.

Credits are delivered immediately on purchase and consumed as you use the service. Refunds are assessed on unused credits only. Credits already spent have been delivered and are not refundable.

Where a refund of a membership is granted, it applies to the current billing period only. Previous billing periods are not refundable.

In assessing a request we consider your use of the service, including readings taken, credits consumed, and the timing and frequency of purchases. Continued use of the service, and repeat purchases made after the issue complained of, are relevant to whether the service was delivered as described.

Where a reading or feature fails due to a technical fault on our side, credits are returned to your balance automatically. If this has not happened, contact us and we will correct it.

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we may suspend or close your account. We will provide our records of your use of the service to the payment provider.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated systems to access the service
• Share or republish readings without permission
• Harass, abuse, or harm others through the service

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Tarot Chats, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tarot Chats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

10. Communications

By using our service, you consent to receive communications from us including service updates and notifications. If you opt-in to marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time through your Settings page.

11. Third-Party Services

Our service uses third-party providers including Anthropic (AI processing), Google Analytics (usage tracking), and advertising partners such as Meta (audience matching and campaign measurement). These services have their own privacy policies and terms of service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time. In our mobile apps this is available in Settings. On the web, contact support@tarotchats.com. Deletion removes your account and associated data, except records we are required to retain for tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes, which are held without identifying details where possible. Your payment provider retains its own records of any payments as required by law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
